"Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all."

book review: a court of thorns & roses by SARAH J. MAAS
SYNOPSIS: When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it... or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
I wasn't quite sure of what to expect from this book. I had read a few critics and I had heard it was a retelling from The Beauty and the Beast. I started reading it as just another book, but it ended up being much better than I expected. I ended up falling in love with its pages.
"Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don't feel anything at all."
The plot is quite simple and may also seem a bit repetitive sometimes, but it never abandons its emotion and suspense, making you want to read even faster...
A Court of Thorns and Roses is a retelling of The Beauty and the Beast with lots of twist made by this amazing writer. Without doubt, it's an epic start for this trilogy.
Do I recommend it? Of course!! As all books written by Sarah J. Maas.
