RESEÑA: LA REINA ROJA DE VICTORIA AVEYARD

SINOPSIS: El poder es un juego peligroso.
En una sociedad dividida por el color de la sangre, los Rojos luchan por sobrevivir bajo la sombra de los Plateados, «superhumanos» con poderes terribles que les permiten manejar el mundo a su antojo. Pero cuando se descubre que Mare Barrow —una joven ladronzuela Roja— tiene también esos poderes, es llevada al mundo de los Plateados. Allí descubrirá que el poder es un juego peligroso y que la única certeza es la traición.

La reina Roja tiene una ambientación distópica con fantasía. 

Victora Aveyard hace un trabajo estupendo a la hora de perfilar a los personajes, consigue que no parezcan simplemente buenos o malos, pues la mayoría tiene toda una escala de grises en su interior que hace que sea difícil para el lector (y para la protagonista) saber en quién confiar, quién está de su parte o quién la está protegiendo. 

Yo siempre he admitido que una portada bonita es mi peor debilidad, y es que la hermosa portada de La Reina Roja se robo mi corazón desde el principio...  Aún así, no pensé que este libro fuera a gustarme tanto... fue mucho mejor de lo que esperaba. Su acción, sus mentiras y verdades, me han atrapado en estas páginas rojas y plateadas.

Para ser honesta, hoy es el último día del año y pronto comenzaré a festejar, así que esta reseña no será muy completa. Pero aquí les dejo lo que deben saber:

¿Me gustó? ABSOLUTAMENTE. DEBES LEERLO.

¿Lo único malo sobre el libro? En algunos momentos usa el término que tan bien conocemos: "la chispa de la rebelión" o cosas así. Me ha parecido un poco sacado de Los Juegos del Hambre.

Es un libro que debes descubrir por ti mismo, sin duda.

book review: red queen by VICTORIA AVEYARD

SYNOPSIS: This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.

That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.

But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart ... 

Victora Aveyard does a great job when describing her characters, she doesn't make them look good or bad, as many of them aren't black or white, but grey. This hace que sea difícil para el lector (y para la protagonista) saber makes it hard to the reader (and to the protagonist) to know who to trust and who's against her...

I always say that a pretty cover is enough to win my heart, and this is what this book did. However, I wasn't expecting this book to be so good, it was definitely much better than I expected. It's action, lies and truths have hooked me in its red and silver pages.

To be honest, it's New Yaer's Eve and I don't have much time for this review and neither do you. So here's everything you need to know about this book:

Something I didn't like about the book? In some scenes, the author used terms like "the spark of the rebellion" and so, something that has been used a lot in The Hunger Games...

It's a book you must discover by yourself, without any doubt. READ IT!!in duda.
