"La Pirámide Roja" de Rick Riordan

SINOPSIS: Todo empezó en Londres, la noche en que nuestro padre hizo explotar el Museo Británico con un extraño conjuro. Fue entonces cuando nos enteramos de que, además de un reconocido arqueólogo, era una especie de mago del Antiguo Egipto. Rodeado de valiosas antigüedades, empezó a entonar extrañas palabras... Algo debió de salir mal porque la sala quedó reducida a escombros; Set, el dios del caos, apareció de la nada envuelto en llamas y a nuestro padre se lo trago la tierra...

La Pirámide Roja es la primera entrega de la trilogía de Las Crónicas de Kane, de Rick Riordan.

En definitiva, si te gusta el tema de la mitología, te recomiendo leer este libro. Si has leído algo de este autor y te ha gustado, te recomiendo leer este libro. 

"Parece imposible que los dos jóvenes narradores estén diciendo la verdad, pero te corresponde a ti, lector, decidir por ti mismo."

Debo decir que ni dudé en comprar este libro y todos me habían dicho lo asombroso que era, pero a mí no me ha gustado nada. Me atrapó su sinopsis y su hermosa portada, pero su contenido me decepcionó. Tiene un tipo de narración muy creativa que me ha encantado... la forma de Rick Riordan al narrar este libro es fascinante, pero la historia en sí me ha parecido muy aburrida. ¡No podía esperar a que se terminara! Y eso que yo no abandono libros. Pues no lo hice.... leí cada una de sus páginas hasta el final (tediosamente) y me arrepiento. 

Sé que a muchos les ha fascinado el libro y lo aman, pero no soy una de esas personas.

No creo leer los libros que siguen.

BOOK REVIEW: THE RED PYRAMID BY RICK RIORDAN

SYNOPSIS: Since their mother's death, Carter and Sadie have become near strangers. While Sadie has lived with her grandparents in London, her brother has traveled the world with their father, the brilliant Egyptologist, Dr. Julius Kane. 

One night, Dr. Kane brings the siblings together for a "research experiment" at the British Museum, where he hopes to set things right for his family. Instead, he unleashes the Egyptian god Set, who banishes him to oblivion and forces the children to flee for their lives. 

Soon, Sadie and Carter discover that the gods of Egypt are waking, and the worst of them —Set— has his sights on the Kanes. To stop him, the siblings embark on a dangerous journey across the globe - a quest that brings them ever closer to the truth about their family and their links to a secret order that has existed since the time of the pharaohs. 

The Red Pyramid is the first book of The Kane Chronicles trilogy by Rick Riordan.

The Red Pyramid is narrated by Carter and Sadie Kane, two brothers separated by their mother's dead. One day, their father takes them  to the Museum where strange things happen and the two brothers are dragged to a mysterious adventure. 

Definitely, if you like myths, I recommend you this book. If you've read other books by this author and you've liked them, I recommend you this book.

"I seems impossible that these two young narrators are telling the truth, but it's up to you, reader, to decide."

I must say I didn't even die on buying this book and everyone had told me how awesome it was, but I didn't like it. Not at all. I was hooked by its synopsis and its pretty cover, but its story dissapointed me. It has a great style to narrate the story that I've loved.... the way Rick Riordan narrates this book is fascinating, but the story itself is boring (for me). I couldn't wait for it to end!! And I'm not the kind of person who abandons books just like that. So I didn't... I read every single page and I seriously regret. IT WAS SOOO BORING!

I know many people have liked the book and truly love it, but I'm not like them. I've read every book Rick Riordan has written, but this one... :(

I dodn't think I'll read the whole trilogy.
